Description
Stanislaus Regional Housing Authority is soliciting bids to remove and replace 48 HVAC split systems at an occupied residential property. Each replacement system must be at least a 2-ton system with an 80% AFUE gas furnace and 14-SEER air conditioning. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supplies, and perform associated ductwork, refrigerant line, gas, electrical disconnect, fuse, and thermostat work as needed. The scope includes permitting, inspections, HERS testing, debris removal, daily cleanup, site protection, maintenance and operating instructions, and a one-year warranty. Work must comply with applicable codes and federal prevailing-wage requirements, and the contractor must use properly licensed personnel. The bid requires a bid bond equal to 5% for bids over $10,000; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, or an allowed alternative. Subcontracting requires prior written approval, and the contractor must self-perform at least 12% of the work.
