Description
The City seeks a contractor to upgrade the electrical power systems at three water booster stations. Work includes selective demolition and replacement of motor control centers, new electrical service and metering coordination, standby generator docking connections and cables, harmonic filters, HVAC improvements, electrical room work, wiring, and integration with the existing SCADA system. The contractor must maintain uninterrupted water service during construction and provide startup, testing, commissioning, training, and closeout documentation. The bid requires a 5% bid surety with the submission. The awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds for the full project amount and proof of public liability and automobile liability insurance within seven calendar days after award. A project labor agreement applies to bids at or above $150,000, and a community benefits plan is required for projects that include a PLA.
