Description
The City of Duluth is soliciting bids for construction of the Comfort and Joy Duplex West and East. The unit price list identifies work including construction preparation, permits, gas and electric utility installation, excavation and foundations, framing, roof trusses, windows and doors, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems and fixtures, appliances, siding, insulation, drywall, interior doors and trim, finish carpentry, cabinets, countertops, flooring, final cleaning, landscaping, final grading, and exterior concrete. Bidders must submit a completed unit price list for each building, providing a unit price and unit of measure for each listed item. The unit price list will be used to verify change-order pricing and will not equal the lump-sum bid total. Electronic submission through Bid Express is required. Construction projects estimated to exceed $2,000 are subject to prevailing-wage requirements, and the successful contractor must provide required insurance and bonds after notice of award and before contract execution.
