Description
The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids on behalf of the West Virginia State Rail Authority for construction work on the South Branch Valley Railroad. The scope is to replace 4,000 crossties between mileposts 43.0 and 51.0 and surface the track; each installed tie must be gaged. Track maps and a spiking-pattern exhibit are included with the solicitation. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid is required. A prebid meeting is scheduled at the West Virginia Rail Authority office in Moorefield, and technical questions are due by the stated deadline.
