Description
Duncannon Borough is soliciting bids for replacement of the water main beneath Lincoln Street and 2nd Alley from Cherry Street to North High Street. The work includes excavation and test pits, rock removal as needed, installation and connection of 6-inch ductile iron water main, gate valves, valve boxes, ductile iron fittings, fire hydrant connections, copper water service lines, thrust blocks, and related testing, disinfection, and restoration. The base bid also includes stormwater inlet and pipe replacements, bituminous base and wearing courses, and final restoration of pavement, curbs, sidewalks, lawns, and other disturbed areas. Alternates include work in 2nd Alley, full-width paving overlays, and two ADA ramps. Pennsylvania prevailing wage requirements apply. The estimated contract value is $400,000, and the stated contract duration is 120 consecutive calendar days.
