Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is soliciting a contractor to provide a turnkey water-well system for Greenhouse Facility B42 at the Southern Horticulture Research Unit. The work includes drilling a 4-inch-diameter well to sufficient depth to produce 55–65 gallons per minute; installing a 7.5-horsepower Goulds pump, variable-frequency drive, 120-gallon bladder tank, 8/3 flat-jacketed wire, electrical supply, casing, and all necessary appurtenances; and delivering a fully functional standalone system. The system will provide clean water for plant irrigation and greenhouse cooling. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, tools, site management, debris removal, restroom facilities, and dumpster services. A foreman must be present while work is underway, and the contractor must submit a site-specific safety/accident-prevention plan within 14 days after award. Work must be completed within 60 days after the notice to proceed, during the specified weekday work hours. Quotations must include a technical approach narrative, company experience with up to three similar contracts completed within the last three years, references, and pricing on the SF-1442. Award will use a lowest-price-technically-acceptable evaluation with acceptable or neutral past performance.
