Description
The City of East Lansing is seeking a qualified executive recruiting firm to conduct a comprehensive national search for a new City Manager. The scope includes developing candidate and community profiles through engagement with elected officials, staff, and stakeholders; national advertising and active recruitment; screening and evaluating candidates; reference and background inquiries; and preparing written candidate assessments. The selected firm will also support the interview and selection process, which may include structured City Council interviews, candidate presentations, community forums, staff engagement, stakeholder meetings, finalist evaluation, and consensus-building. Proposals must describe the firm's methodology, relevant city or county manager search experience, project staffing, timeline, cost for the full project, and rates for potential additional services. The proposed contract term is six months, with an option to extend for an additional three months.
