Description
The City of Lansing is soliciting bids for construction of HMA speed humps on various city-owned neighborhood streets. The work includes pavement milling, installation of MDOT mixture 13A or an approved equal bituminous surface, cleanup and disposal, and minor traffic devices. Traffic control and pavement markings will be provided by the City. The contract includes three speed-hump unit-price categories based on roadway width, with a minimum mobilization quantity of three speed humps and a maximum annual contract amount of $100,000. Work must begin within 10 days after the Notice to Proceed. Speed-hump placement must be completed within five calendar days after pavement removal, and roadway and parkway restoration within 10 calendar days. Prevailing wages, insurance, a bid guaranty of at least 5% of the proposal, and a 100% performance and payment bond are required. The initial contract runs through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement.
