Description
Fayette County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from Georgia Department of Transportation-prequalified consultant teams for a multi-phase, project-specific contract covering the design and engineering of approximately 1.8 miles of multi-use path. The project will connect Spring Hill Elementary School to the Ridge Nature Area and requires work consistent with GDOT's Plan Development Process, environmental procedures, standards, and specifications. The scope includes project management; traffic studies; concept development; environmental surveys and NEPA documentation; public involvement; property-owner and utility databases; surveying; preliminary and final roadway plans; drainage, hydraulic, geotechnical, bridge, lighting, landscaping, and utility coordination; right-of-way plans and acquisition support; erosion and sedimentation control; construction cost estimates; and construction engineering, inspection, testing, payment review, and closeout support. One firm is anticipated to be selected. Phase I requires a Statement of Qualifications, while shortlisted firms may later be asked to submit a technical approach and will be evaluated on past performance.
