NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the County of Ontario, will receive sealed bids for Maintenance and Repair of Emergency Generators (B26092). Such sealed bids must be filed with the Ontario County Purchasing Director, 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424, PRIOR TO 3:00 PM prevailing time, October 28, 2026 at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid forms and specifications may be obtained via the County’s eProcurement Portal via https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/ontariocountyny or at the office of the County Purchasing Director at the above mentioned address, the Ontario County website www.ontariocountyny.gov/purchasing or via telephone (585)396-4442. Description
Ontario County is soliciting sealed bids for labor, materials, and mechanical services to maintain and repair emergency generators at county buildings, radio tower sites, Canandaigua Lake County Sewer District pump stations, and Honeoye Lake County Sewer District locations. The scope includes semiannual inspections, annual preventive maintenance, generator testing under load, automatic transfer switch inspection, oil and filter changes, repairs, service reports, and emergency response within two hours of notification. The contractor must provide emergency service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and demonstrate at least five years of generator maintenance and servicing experience, similar-work references, and skilled mechanics regularly employed for at least three years. The bid includes routine maintenance for listed facilities and hourly repair services during normal business hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, plus a percentage discount on manufacturers' list prices for repair parts and materials. The agreement begins November 27, 2026, and ends November 26, 2027, with up to two additional 12-month renewal periods. Responses must be submitted as physical sealed bids; electronic submissions are not accepted. Required submittals include the bid forms, completed bid schedule, insurance certificates, New York State Department of Labor certification, catastrophic emergency contact list, applicable product literature, IRS Form W-9, references, and a list of skilled mechanics.
