Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a service contractor to provide preventive and corrective maintenance for approximately 95 government-owned ice machines at seven VA North Texas locations. The scope includes quarterly inspections, cleaning, descaling, sanitation, water-filter and gasket replacement, mechanical and electrical testing, documentation, and corrective repairs using OEM or VA-approved equivalent parts. The contractor must provide emergency corrective service 24 hours per day, seven days per week, with on-site response times of four hours for emergencies, 24 hours for priority failures, and 72 hours for routine issues. Technicians must be factory-trained or demonstrably qualified on Scotsman, Follett, and Manitowoc commercial ice machines; personnel performing refrigerant work must hold EPA Section 608 certification. The requirement is a firm-fixed-price base period plus four option years, with an additional potential six-month extension, and is set aside for certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
