Description
Lehigh County Authority is soliciting online sealed bids through PennBid for four separate contracts associated with Main Pump House and Dewatering Improvements: General Construction (Bid No. 50661G), Mechanical Construction (Bid No. 50661M), Electrical Construction (Bid No. 50661E), and Plumbing Construction (Bid No. 50661P). The work includes renovation and restoration of administrative, operator, laboratory, restroom, locker, control, and support areas; demolition; new HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communications, access-control, fire-alarm, and finish systems; temporary modular office trailers; and related structural, masonry, and utility work. The bid documents include asbestos testing results, issue-for-bid drawings and specifications, and addenda revising the bidding documents, specifications, and drawings. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit to be eligible to bid. Each bid requires bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid total. Bidders must have at least five years of experience and 10 completed projects of a similar nature. Contract budgets identified in Addendum No. 1 are $775,000 for General Construction, $320,000 for Mechanical Construction, $450,000 for Electrical Construction, and $185,000 for Plumbing Construction. Bids must be submitted online through PennBid, with the applicable contract-specific pricing template, Bidder Acknowledgements questionnaire, bid security, and required PDF documents.
