Description
Cherokee County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms or organizations to provide consultant design and engineering services for the Towne Lake Parkway Trail Phase II project, identified as PI 0021588. The project involves a proposed 1.01-mile, 8-foot-wide shared-use path along Towne Lake Parkway from the terminus of Phase I at Towne Lake Hills West to the eastern intersection of Eagle Watch Drive. The selected consultant will provide concept development, field and property surveys, environmental documentation and special studies, public involvement, preliminary and final roadway, signing, marking, erosion-control, utility, and right-of-way plans, cost estimates, quality assurance and quality control reviews, field-plan-review support, and final plans, specifications, and estimates. The prime consultant must hold Georgia Department of Transportation prequalification in the applicable roadway-design and bicycle-and-pedestrian facility area classes, with the prime or subconsultant team covering additional environmental, traffic, landscape architecture, hydraulic, surveying, utility, soil, hazardous-waste, and erosion-control disciplines. Phase I submissions are evaluated on qualifications, experience, resources, and workload capacity; three to five finalists may be invited to submit a Phase II technical approach. Addendum 1 confirms that the previous plan set titled “2025-01-17 REV Towne Lake Sidewalk” is available as part of the addendum.
