Description
Dakota County seeks a vendor to print and distribute its 36-page, magazine-style 2027 resident newsletter. The County will provide print-ready files and mailing-list information. The scope includes printing approximately 186,500 copies for household mailing, an additional 1,600 copies for specified mailing areas, 700 copies for delivery to the County Administration Center, and 2,000 separate stitched eight-page inserts for delivery there. The vendor is responsible for mail-list processing, postage, and delivery and freight costs. Specifications include an 8.375-by-10.8125-inch finished size, 70-pound cover and 50-pound body stock, at least 10% post-consumer waste, and two-sided four-color printing with bleeds. The proposal must include a transmittal letter, firm introduction, team organization, qualifications and experience, work plan and budget, conflict-of-interest information, exceptions and deviations, and the firm's position on the contract terms. Similar projects from the past five years must be identified with client contact information. The newsletter is to be mailed to homes by February 25, 2027; the County anticipates a contract period of August 4–31, 2026, with an anticipated start date of February 1, 2027, though the stated dates appear inconsistent with the production schedule.
