Fayette County, Georgia seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, permits, and incidentals for a turnkey barrier-netting project at Kiwanis Park Fields #5 and #6. The work includes removing and disposing of existing netting, poles, and cable systems; installing a complete permanent structural system with baseball netting, poles, foundations, embedment, connections, galvanized aircraft cables, attachment points, and related components; and field-measuring all sections before quoting. The final pole diameter, wall thickness, steel specification, height, foundation dimensions, embedment depth, reinforcement, connections, netting loads, wind loads, and other structural requirements must be established by the project engineer. An engineered alternate pole system may be proposed instead of the originally specified 3.5-inch Schedule 40 poles, subject to County approval. The netting must meet the stated mesh, material, strength, UV, weather, mold, mildew, and wind-load requirements and remain installed year-round. The quote must include a proposed system sketch, component specifications, three similar-project references, warranty information, pricing, and any exceptions. A Georgia General Contractor license is required unless the responder establishes a qualifying exemption. Following award, the contractor must provide sealed structural drawings and calculations prepared by a Georgia-licensed design professional, detailed manufacturer installation instructions, permits, utility locating, pre-existing-condition documentation, staged inspections, project-caused damage repairs, and a clean and safe work area. Work may begin no earlier than November 16, 2026, and must be completed by February 1, 2027.
