Description
The City of Laguna Beach is soliciting an electronic lump-sum bid for tenant improvements at its animal shelter. The work includes improvements to an existing first-floor storage room; conversion of another first-floor storage room into a Pet Care room; conversion of a second-floor room into Cattery and Utility rooms; and related casework, furniture, cabinetry, flooring, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and finish work. The project also includes removal and modification of chain-link fencing and installation of a lockable gate, exterior concrete walkway, curb, and railing modifications, and relocation of utilities that conflict with the walkway. The estimated bid value is $210,000. Work must begin within 10 working days after the notice to proceed and be completed within 45 working days. Bidders must hold a Class A, General Engineering contractor license, attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, submit the required bid forms and certifications, and provide a 10% bid guarantee. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance.
