Pender County Schools and Daniels & Daniels Construction Co., Inc. are soliciting first-tier subcontractor bids for renovation of the Pender High School Food and Nutrition Lab. Bidders must submit a lump-sum base bid for each applicable bid package, list alternates separately where applicable, include North Carolina sales tax, comply with E-Verify requirements, and use the latest bid form issued by Daniels & Daniels. Alternate No. 5 for porcelain countertops has been deleted as a separate alternate and incorporated into the base bid for affected packages. First-tier subcontractors must be prequalified under North Carolina General Statutes § 143-128.1. Bid bonds, payment bonds, and performance bonds are not required for first-tier subcontractor bids or contracts. The addendum states that revised bid packages and bid forms will be issued with Addendum No. 2, and only the most recent forms will be accepted. Bids must be sealed and acknowledged for all applicable addenda.
