Description
The City of Spokane Fleet Services is soliciting proposals from one or more companies to provide vehicle glass repair, replacement, and installation for City-owned automobiles and trucks. Services may be performed at the contractor’s facility or the City’s location and must include shop service, mobile service, or pickup and delivery of drivable vehicles. The scope includes windshield chip and crack repair, glass replacement, leak repair, cleanup and removal of broken glass and installation waste, and correction of damage caused by improper installation. Work must comply with applicable FMVSS, ASTM, and ANSI standards and be performed by qualified, uniformed technicians using appropriate equipment and materials. The contractor must be able to schedule repairs within two hours and replacements within four hours; shop repairs and replacements have additional completion targets, while mobile or pickup-and-return services must be completed within 24 hours of the initial call. Proposals must include a letter of submittal, technical proposal, management proposal, and cost proposal, with the complete proposal limited to 20 pages. The City may award more than one contract, and the resulting contract is for one year with four one-year renewal options.
