Description
Fulton County's Department of Public Works is soliciting unit-price bids for small water meter installation services. The work includes approximately 500 new 3/4-inch to 2-inch meter installations annually, approximately 1,500 meter replacements annually, service-line installation and replacement, meter-box replacement, direct-connect meter work, copper tubing and fittings, and related labor and equipment. Fulton County will provide meters, meter boxes, and dual-check backflow devices where specified; the contractor must provide other materials, labor, equipment, permits, restoration, and cleanup. Additional bid items cover concrete and asphalt sidewalk, driveway, curb, gutter, and pavement restoration; premium-hours labor and equipment; erosion and sediment controls; tree protection and removal; rock and soft-dig excavation; trench stabilization; fence removal and replacement; and traffic-control equipment and personnel. Installed or replaced meters must be located using sub-foot-accuracy GPS, with data delivered in a format compatible with the County's geographic information system. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience, including work involving at least 1,000 meters per year for three years within the past seven years, and submit three verifiable references. The solicitation requires a signed bid response and specified purchasing, licensing, subcontractor, and insurance-related forms.
