Description
Iowa State University seeks contractors to provide as-needed drain and pipe cleaning or jetting, wash bay pit and grease trap/interceptor pumping, and camera/televising services for university departments. Work includes cleaning pipes ranging from 1 to 30 inches, pumping pits and traps up to 10,000 gallons, and providing video deliverables on DVD or thumb drive with a same-day report. Camera work may not be subcontracted. The scope also includes monthly preventive cleaning of specified dining-center sewer lines, with return service for clogs between scheduled cleanings at no additional cost. Emergency calls require an arrival within one hour or an agreed time, with emergency repair response generally limited to one to two hours; normal repairs are scheduled as needed. Contractors must provide a confined-space program summary with their response and be capable of confined-space entry.
