Description
The Port of Portland is seeking bids for vehicle movement area transponder (VMAT) systems for airport ground vehicles. The equipment must provide ADS-B Out transmissions for airport surface surveillance, meet applicable FAA requirements, support FAA-coordinated ICAO address assignments, and be suitable for permanent installation on vehicles operating in airport movement areas. Installation instructions, programming and user documentation, configuration guidance, and manufacturer technical specifications must be included. Bidders must provide unit pricing based on an estimated quantity of 120 units, including pricing for the specified transponder, optional magnetic mounting kits, extension cables, FAA setup and ICAO address coordination, shipping if applicable, warranty information, and any additional fees. The estimated quantity is for evaluation only and does not commit the Port to purchase that quantity. Bids must use the provided Bid Schedule and include all required schedules; substitutions may be proposed using the provided Substitution Request Form with supporting technical data.
