Description
Pasco County is soliciting bids for construction improvements at the intersection of Byrd Drive and Gunn Highway. The work includes installation of a new traffic signal system with prestressed concrete strain poles, span wire, vehicular and pedestrian signals, video detection, controller equipment, uninterruptible power supply, lighting, signing, pavement markings, and associated electrical infrastructure. The project also includes milling and resurfacing, construction of an approximately 100-foot-long eastbound right-turn lane on Byrd Drive, curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway work, sod, maintenance of traffic, utility coordination and adjustments, underground conduit, and installation of fiber-optic communications infrastructure. The contractor must provide required erosion and sediment controls, an NPDES permit application and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, quality control, surveying and layout, and other construction administration deliverables. Addendum 1 requires acknowledgment of revised plans, and Addendum 2 removes bid item 102-107-1 and clarifies utility coordination and concrete strain-pole drilling. A five-percent bid bond is required with the bid; performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the awarded contract amount, are required after award.
