Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting firm-fixed-price quotes for six new surgical light and utility boom systems supporting Operating Rooms 1–6 at the Omaha VA Medical Center. The equipment must meet detailed salient characteristics, including specified LED counts and illumination, multiple color temperatures, sterile-field controls, laminar-flow inlets, ambient/endoscopy mode, horizontal-console anesthesia boom configuration, electromechanical and backup friction braking, 340-degree rotation, and support for up to 16 electrical duplexes per boom. The contractor must deinstall existing surgical lights; furnish and install the new equipment; modify existing mounts; install six electrical circuits, wiring, conduit, Panduit runs, wall displays, outlets, and controls; perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and medical-gas functional checks; provide infection-control measures, floor protection, waste disposal, minor patching and painting, documentation, and project coordination. The work must be completed during a maximum 30-calendar-day surgery-department closure. Quotes require completed pricing and delivery schedules, a completed and signed SF 1449, an authorized distributor letter if applicable, and a technical-capability narrative addressing compliance with the statement of work and salient characteristics. Past performance from relevant work performed within the past three years will be evaluated, along with veteran involvement and price.
