Description
Sacramento Regional Transit District is seeking a contractor to provide new non-revenue oversized tires and related services for light, medium, and heavy trucks, trailers, off-road vehicles, and other heavy equipment. The scope includes tire installation, dismounting and mounting, balancing, pressure checks, tire rotations, wheel alignments, flat repairs, repair of repairable tires, used-tire pickup and recycling, and required service documentation. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, licenses, and qualified personnel. Services must be performed offsite at the contractor’s location, with vehicles dropped off or picked up by the transit district. The solicitation contemplates a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity on-call contract, with a minimum quantity of $1,000 and a maximum amount not to exceed $150,000. The contractor must complete requested services within 48 hours after written approval of an estimate. Bidders must submit prices for each bid item and may propose approved equal tires subject to the solicitation’s substitution procedures. The contract is federally assisted and includes applicable Federal Transit Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements; no DBE goal has been established.
