Description
Shasta County Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide project-specific environmental and cultural services for the CSA 13 Alpine Meadows Leach Field Defensible Space Project. The scope includes a Natural Environment Study addressing NEPA, CEQA, permitting-agency, and housing-program requirements; field surveys; special-status species record searches; biological assessments; Section 7 consultation; aquatic-resource delineations; and mitigation and monitoring reporting. The cultural-services scope includes cultural, prehistoric, historical, and built-environment resource evaluations; cultural-resource assessments, surveys, and studies; assistance with Native American and National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 consultations; resource and permitting-agency consultations; responses to agency and public comments; and, if required, qualified on-site cultural-resource monitoring during construction and maintenance. The consultant must be properly certified and licensed, prepare project documentation and schedules, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The agreement is expected to run through June 30, 2027, subject to execution, notice to proceed, funding, and possible extension.
