Description
Modoc County is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of County Road 1 from the intersection of County Road 9 to the B.L.M. boundary. The work includes microsurfacing, cold planing asphalt concrete pavement, high-friction surface treatment, hot-mix asphalt overlay, full-depth HMA pavement digouts at approximately 100 to 500 locations, roadway excavation, shoulder backing, crack treatment, traffic control, stormwater pollution prevention, road signage, and pavement delineation. The estimated base bid cost is $4,000,000. Bidders must hold a California Class A contractor license or Class C-12 license, and the project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, federal-aid requirements, Buy America provisions, and a 30 percent minimum prime self-performance requirement excluding specialty items. The work must be completed within 55 working days under the stated notice-to-proceed conditions, with liquidated damages of $7,500 per calendar day for late completion. A bid security equal to at least 10 percent of the bid is required; payment and performance bonds are required after award.
