Description
Jefferson Parish is soliciting statements of qualifications from one or more qualified vendors to provide medical review officer services for its substance use program, including drug and/or alcohol testing and medication review for employees and prospective employees. The scope includes review and verification of test results, medication review, communication of results, confidentiality, coordination with the Parish, consultations, office visits, and expert witness testimony. Proposers must maintain a current Louisiana medical license in good standing, hold a current Medical Review Officer certificate accredited under federal drug-testing law/SAMHSA, and be qualified as an expert Medical Review Officer in a Louisiana, federal, or state court. The proposer must conduct business from an office or practice on either the East Bank or West Bank of Jefferson Parish. Evaluation considers qualifications, relevant experience, references and past projects involving populations of 2,000 or more employees, staffing, responsiveness, understanding of the scope, and cost. The vendor's office staff must include at least one doctor, two medical assistants, and one support staff member. Subcontractors must be listed and provide the required questionnaires, licenses, and other information.
