Description
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking proposals from landlords for leased off-campus student housing accommodating approximately 50 to 100 students. Preferred properties are near campus, within two miles of the Greensboro campus, arranged in contiguous blocks or a dedicated complex, and configured as single- or multiple-bedroom units. Each bedroom must include specified furnishings, including a bed, desk, chair, dresser, closet or wardrobe, lighting, and a lockable door. Proposals must include floor plans, net usable square footage, space configuration, rental rates, and available parking and laundry facilities. The lease is intended to cover August 1, 2027, through July 31, 2028, with up to four one-year renewal options. Rent must include specified utilities and services, including electricity, water, sewer, solid-waste removal, gas, cable, high-speed internet, furniture, parking, security, grounds and building maintenance, janitorial services, pest control, and required emergency response. The lessor must maintain code-compliant, safe, sprinklered facilities; provide insurance, fire and safety equipment, HVAC and lighting maintenance, refuse and recycling services, and appropriate administrative and maintenance staffing. Proposers must submit the completed PO-28 form, a floor plan, pricing and service details, and proof of required insurance. Electronic proposals must be emailed as specified in the solicitation.
