The City of Atlanta Department of Aviation anticipates soliciting comprehensive maintenance, cleaning, and inspection services for grease interceptors at the airport. The scope covers 69 interceptors initially, with the inventory expected to grow to 76 during the five-year contract. Work includes monthly pump-outs and refilling, pressure washing, pipe jetting, inspections, CCTV inspection of piping, waste hauling and compliant disposal, corrective repairs, emergency response, spare-parts management, and maintenance and compliance reporting. Major preventive maintenance and cleaning activities are scheduled for the overnight third shift, generally 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The contractor must provide 24-hour emergency availability, acknowledge emergencies within one hour, and have first responders on site within two hours; the scope also states a three-hour response requirement. Airport access, safety, confined-space planning, environmental compliance, and coordination with airport operations are required. Draft documents also specify insurance and bonding requirements and City small-business opportunity and nondiscrimination submittals, including a 35% SBE participation goal and joint-venture outreach requirements.
