Description
The Franklin Township Sewerage Authority is seeking a full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage its day-to-day accounting functions. Responsibilities include maintaining accounting systems, accruals, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, deposits, bank reconciliations, balance sheets, payroll and payroll tax administration, annual 1099s, budget maintenance, audit preparation, escrow account maintenance, fixed asset maintenance, vendor account maintenance, and preparing reports for management. The role requires close collaboration with external professional firms. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting (or an Associate degree with proven experience), 3-5 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, and extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Candidates must possess strong organization and multitasking skills, be detail-oriented, able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to thrive in a collaborative office environment and interface well with staff and external contacts is also essential. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality is required. Highly preferred qualifications include experience with Edmunds GovTech - Finance Modules, local government accounting and auditing procedures, Harris Micro Fund and Asset Trax Financial Software, and ADP Workforce Now payroll processing. This is an in-person, non-remote position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The salary range is $69,000 - $89,000, based on proven experience, and includes medical, dental, prescription, and vision benefits.
