Description
The District of Houston is soliciting proposals from audit firms to conduct annual financial audits for the years 2026 through 2028. The audits must adhere to Canadian generally accepted auditing standards, as well as the Local Government Act and Community Charter. The selected auditor will provide an opinion to the District's Council regarding the fairness of the annual consolidated financial statements and related schedules. Proponents must demonstrate experience and expertise in municipal audits and must not have any conflicts of interest that would impair their ability to serve as the District's Auditor. The firm must also have the capacity to complete the services in a timely manner.
