Description
The Village of Wilmette is requesting construction engineering services for its 2027 Water Main Replacement Program. The work covers water main replacement on Lake Avenue and Locust Road, including ductile iron water main installation, valves, fire hydrants, water service transfers and replacements, lead or galvanized service line replacements, related storm and sanitary sewer work, pavement and concrete restoration, ADA improvements, traffic control, and collateral restoration. The program covers approximately 5,520 feet of roadway and has an estimated construction cost of $5,600,000, provided for information only. The selected engineer will provide construction administration, inspection, construction materials testing and quality assurance, material submittal review, quantity measurement and pay estimates, utility and permitting coordination, IEPA operating permit submittals, public notices and newsletters, lead service line coordination, punch-list administration, and as-built surveying and record drawings in hardcopy, PDF, AutoCAD, and georeferenced electronic formats. Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of continuous experience and at least five similar projects completed within the past five years, identify a qualified Resident Engineer, provide key-personnel resumes, and submit a detailed technical approach and schedule.
