Description
United Independent School District is soliciting proposals from qualified utility contractors to provide district-wide, as-needed maintenance, repairs, installations, and upgrades. The scope includes underground and above-ground water lines, fire lines, hydrants, backflow preventers, domestic water connections, sanitary sewer lines, storm-drain connections, sanitary and storm-sewer manholes, and related utility structures. Contractors must furnish labor, materials, tools, machinery, equipment, safety apparatus, and incidentals, use specified or approved materials, comply with applicable municipal codes and OSHA requirements, restore work areas, and repair defective work without additional compensation. The District may recommend one, more than one, or no vendors, with work issued through purchase orders based on facility needs. Work involving asbestos-containing transite or asbestos-cement piping must be performed by appropriately certified personnel; contractors without a current Texas Department of State Health Services asbestos contractor license must use a pre-approved, DSHS-licensed asbestos subcontractor. Proposals must include company experience and staffing information, at least three recent client recommendation letters with verifiable contacts, applicable asbestos licensing documentation, and required district certifications and forms. The procurement has no guaranteed minimum spend or stated budget and is awarded on an as-needed basis.
