Description
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission, on behalf of the Technical College System of Georgia and Augusta Technical College, is soliciting construction manager-at-risk services for an approximately 40,000-gross-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Building. The facility will include classrooms, advanced manufacturing and engineering laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, student success and study spaces, a maker space, computer laboratory, student lounge, and outdoor amenities. The project will use a CM/GC delivery method and include coordination with a design professional and commissioning agent. The preliminary stated construction cost limitation is $24,500,000, and construction is estimated to require 15 months. The project must incorporate applicable sustainable construction requirements and Georgia Peach certification with commissioning. The selected construction manager must use the owner's e-Builder project management program for contract administration. The procurement is a two-step qualifications and fee proposal process. Step I requires a Statement of Qualifications addressing company information, minimum qualifications, comparable project experience, proposed personnel, management approach, project suitability, and specified certifications and supporting records. Finalists will proceed to Step II, which requires a fee proposal, detailed fee itemization, an initial construction progress schedule, and an interview. The qualifications submission is limited to one combined PDF of no more than 50 pages, excluding licenses and forms, and must include Exhibits A, B, and C.
