Description
This funding opportunity from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) aims to support projects focused on the study, protection, and management of archaeological resources in Lincoln County, Nevada. Projects must align with U.S. Department of the Interior priorities and the Eastern Nevada conservation and development goals. Eligible projects should focus on protecting archaeological sites, caring for collections and records, sharing research results, and increasing public outreach and involvement in archaeology. All work must adhere to the Lincoln County Land Act and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, meaning only resources at least 100 years old are eligible for funding. The BLM is seeking proposals for cooperative agreements with an estimated total program funding of $750,000, with individual awards ranging from $30,000 to $250,000. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, educational institutions, federally recognized Native American tribes and organizations, and non-profit organizations. Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible. Projects must be located within Lincoln County, Nevada.
