Description
The Town of Norfolk is soliciting sealed bids for the construction and replacement of Bridge Nos. 05970 and 05971 over Hall Meadow Brook on Old Goshen Road and Smith Road, under State Project Nos. 0097-0101 and 0097-0102 and Federal Project F.A.P. Nos. 6097 (012) and 6097 (013). The work requires prequalification for Connecticut Department of Transportation Group No. 8 (Minor Bridges) and Group No. 8B (Pipe Culverts/Culvert Linings). Contractors or subcontractors performing surface preparation or coating application must be certified by the Steel Structures Painting Council. Each bid must include the municipality's Bid Proposal Form, Schedule of Prices, Bid Bond, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and CTDOT prequalification approval letter signed by the CTDOT Contracts Manager. A surety bond for at least 30 percent of the bid amount is required; certified checks are not accepted. Bids must be submitted on the municipality-furnished form and will be publicly opened after the submission deadline.
