Description
The Town of Glocester is soliciting bids for rough and finished electrical work for a new Emergency Management and Emergency Operations Center at 162 Chopmist Hill Road. The scope includes electrical service and distribution, panels, feeders, lighting, receptacles, emergency power provisions, communications pathways, and fire alarm systems, as detailed in the project drawings and specifications. An add alternate covers a new propane emergency generator and concrete pad, and a second alternate covers exterior site work if not performed by the Town. The successful contractor must be properly licensed, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, provide required insurance and bonding, and coordinate with the mechanical, plumbing, architectural, utility, and fire-protection trades. The bid documents specify a 5 percent bid bond; performance and labor-and-material payment bonds are required from the successful bidder. The proposed contract time is 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
