Description
The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration, on behalf of the Public Procurement Review Board, is establishing a five-year Preapproved Vendor List for professional nursing services. Vendors may bid on one or more of eight geographic regions and on any combination of five staffing categories: nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and personal care attendants. Services will be provided to participating state agencies on an as-needed basis through separate agency contracts; placement on the list does not guarantee work or a minimum number of hours. Vendors must meet minimum responsibility requirements, including at least two years of similar business experience, at least 40 nursing placements during the prior two years, two client recommendation letters for similar services provided within the prior three years, and current Mississippi business registration and good standing. Pricing must be submitted on the provided bid form as category- and region-specific hourly rates, including standard, weekend, holiday, hazard, and optionally travel-nurse rates. Vendors must maintain sufficient qualified staffing to meet agency needs within two hours, provide qualified personnel and required credentials when requested, and maintain specified insurance, including workers’ compensation, at least $1,000,000 per-occurrence general or professional general liability, and $100,000 employee dishonesty or fidelity bond coverage.
