Description
Rockingham County is soliciting a contractor to construct an ADA-accessible concrete ramp system with three switchback runs, landings, stair connections, cast-in-place curb and sidewalk, galvanized handrails, and associated foundations. The work also includes two accessible parking spaces with an access aisle, blue striping, wheel stops, signage, and accessibility pavement markings, plus brown riprap and geotextile fabric in designated areas. Bidders must submit a completed signature sheet and bid form. For bids exceeding $100,000, five-percent bid security is required in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond. The contract requires specified insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, employer's liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, umbrella liability, professional liability, and builder's risk insurance. The apparent low responsive and responsible bidder will be selected based on the total lump-sum bid.
