Description
The City of Hendersonville is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed, unit-price tree planting, tree care, shrub and perennial installation, and related landscape maintenance at various locations within the city. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidental services. Work may include planting and replacing trees and shrubs; mulching; watering; pruning; fertilization; straightening and staking; tree and vegetation removal; bagworm pest control; and restoration of disturbed areas. The solicitation includes extensive plant-material specifications and a pricing sheet covering 76 tree, shrub, grass, and perennial items, plus unit prices for maintenance services and mobilization. The initial contract term is two years, with up to three additional one-year renewal terms by mutual agreement. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of commercial or municipal tree planting and arboricultural experience, maintain required Tennessee licensing, and provide qualifications and relevant equipment information. Work assignments generally must begin within ten business days after a notice to proceed and be completed within six weeks of commencement.
