Description
The City and Borough of Juneau, through Capital City Fire Rescue, is seeking a qualified contractor to perform annual pump performance testing on seven fire apparatus equipped with Hale and Waterous pumps. Work includes pre-test inspections; capacity, flow, pressure, vacuum, and priming tests; evaluation of controls, gauges, valves, and related components; monitoring operating parameters; identification of deficiencies; and pass/fail determinations in accordance with applicable NFPA requirements, manufacturer specifications, and accepted testing practices. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, required mobilization and travel, any specialized testing equipment not available from the City, calibrated instruments, and complete electronic test reports for each apparatus. Reports must document test results, deficiencies, corrective recommendations when applicable, equipment and calibration information, technician information, and certification of completed testing. Repairs are outside the base scope and require prior authorization. The contract runs from award through June 30, 2027, with four additional annual renewal periods potentially extending the final expiration date to June 30, 2031.
