Description
Haines Borough is soliciting professional architectural and engineering services for improvements to the ventilation systems serving its swimming pool, natatorium, locker rooms, offices, lobby, and support spaces. The selected consultant will review existing conditions and the 2021 ventilation assessment; conduct an on-site investigation; analyze alternatives; prepare a basis-of-design report, cost estimates, coordinated construction drawings, specifications, and project manual; and provide architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, controls, permitting, and agency-coordination services. The scope also includes bidding assistance, construction administration, site observations, submittal and payment-application review, commissioning, testing and balancing, and final record documents. Proposals must address firm and team qualifications, project understanding, technical approach, relevant experience with at least three comparable natatorium, aquatic-facility, or complex HVAC replacement projects, project staffing and schedule, fee proposal, references for at least three comparable clients, and any exceptions. Final design documents must be signed and sealed by appropriately licensed Alaska design professionals, and electronic deliverables must be provided in PDF and native editable formats acceptable to the Borough.
