Description
The City of Newport Beach Public Works Department is requesting proposals from qualified parking technology system integration firms for Phase Two of the Corona del Mar State Beach Parking Guidance and Wayfinding Project. The scope includes furnishing and installing two Daktronics-or-equal dynamic message boards on Coast Highway—one eastbound near Fernleaf Avenue and one westbound near Poppy Avenue—along with associated equipment. The selected contractor must complete system integration and develop software that communicates parking occupancy information to the signs, including messages such as when the beach parking lot is full or closed and directional information when spaces are available. Proposers must demonstrate substantial experience with municipal parking technology and dynamic message board integration, provide recent similar-project experience and references, describe project controls and short-notice service capability, and submit a separate fee schedule. Proposals are limited to five pages, excluding resumes and experience materials, and must include the required signed worksheet or acknowledgment and City forms.
