Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks a contractor to supply and install an emergency power transfer switch and controls for a 500-ton York Chiller #2 serving Main Building #1. The work includes an 800-amp, 480-volt ASCO transfer switch or approved equal, approximately 45 feet of new 3.5-inch rigid conduit, use of existing conduit and an existing GE 800-amp spare breaker, and integration with the existing Johnson Controls system so that only one chiller operates on emergency power at a time. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, project management, cleanup, and safety measures. A Mississippi electrical license is required, and the quotation must include a list of electrical projects completed within the last five years with customer points of contact. The contractor must attend the required site visit, submit pricing for the single line item, and provide a technical approach addressing schedule compliance and any requirements it cannot accomplish. Work must begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed.
