Description
United Independent School District is soliciting proposals from qualified concrete and asphalt paving contractors to perform district-wide pavement improvements on an as-needed basis. The scope includes sub-base preparation, repair and maintenance, patching, resurfacing, new asphalt and concrete pavement, curb and gutter construction or repair, structural reinforcement, site cleanup, and all required labor, tools, materials, machinery, equipment, and incidentals. The contractor must also provide pavement painting and striping, including traffic lines, ADA stencils, fire-lane markings, black contrast striping, and reflective glass-bead applications where required. Work must comply with specified material, thickness, surface-preparation, curing, weather, testing, safety, and quality requirements. Vendors must submit firm unit prices and provide itemized labor, equipment, and material estimates for individual work orders before purchase orders are issued. The district may recommend one, multiple, or no vendors, and references may be used to verify quality, reliability, stability, and customer satisfaction.
