Description
The East Peoria Mass Transit District, in coordination with the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, is soliciting statements of qualifications from consulting engineering firms to provide Phase I and Phase II engineering for a new pedestrian crossing at Mariners Way and Main Street (Illinois Route 116) in East Peoria. The project also includes ADA-compliant transit landing pads along Access Road 6, accessible routes to nearby trip generators on both sides of Main Street, and passive provisions for future shelters and related improvements. The selected consultant will perform the engineering work required under applicable Illinois Department of Transportation and federal requirements, including topographic surveys, environmental review and documentation, engineering designs and specifications, right-of-way investigations and acquisition documents as applicable, permitting, maintenance-of-traffic planning, and an engineer’s cost estimate. No construction activities are included in this phase. Respondents and proposed subconsultants must be prequalified by the Illinois Department of Transportation in applicable service categories. The procurement uses qualifications-based selection, with a fixed-price contract and negotiated payment terms anticipated after selection.
