Description
Palm Beach County is seeking a contractor to provide automotive upholstery services for County vehicles and equipment on an as-needed basis. The scope includes removing and replacing headliners, seat materials, and miscellaneous covers for cars, vans, trucks, buses, and custom-built fire trucks, as well as covers for hose beds, generators, pumps, ladders, airboats, self-contained breathing apparatus masks, and auxiliary engines. Covers and bags must use sturdy, coated, waterproof canvas, and upholstery materials must meet or exceed original-equipment-manufacturer quality and applicable industry and safety standards. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, tools, supplies, equipment, secure vehicle storage, coordination, and written estimates before work begins. The County will deliver and retrieve vehicles and order services as needed. Pricing is based on a standard hourly rate, with parts and materials reimbursed at actual cost plus shipping when authorized as part of the service. The anticipated contract value is $40,000 for the initial 12-month term. The solicitation requires references for at least three similar projects completed within the past three years, and successful contractors must maintain specified commercial general liability, business auto liability, and workers’ compensation/employer’s liability insurance.
