Description
The City of Edmond is soliciting sealed bids to completely remove the existing surface from Tennis Courts 1–4 down to bare concrete and reapply a new court surface system. The work includes debris removal; manual or automated scraping; acid etching and power washing; lithium silicate sealer and acrylic primer; two coats of acrylic resurfacer; two texture-course applications; two finish-course applications; white line paint; USTA-compliant striping; and sanding, cleaning, priming, and painting the existing net posts. The City will provide the nets. The total resurfacing area is approximately 3,308 square yards, or 29,772 square feet. Required colors are Laykold U.S. Open Green and U.S. Open Blue with white line markings, using specified products or approved equals. The existing coating must be fully removed because it has developed large bubbles. Mechanical shot blasting is acceptable as a scraping method, but acid etching remains required afterward. The work must be completed within 15 calendar days beginning September 15, 2026, with completion no later than October 1, 2026; contractors may petition for an additional weather day if more than two days have temperatures too low for application. The contract includes a two-year written limited warranty and liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day. Bidders must submit a five-percent bid security, complete the bid document and required affidavits, acknowledge the terms and conditions and Addenda 1 and 2, and submit through the online bidding system.
