Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting quotations for 735 nonrechargeable lithium/manganese dioxide batteries, 3.1 volts, NSN 6135-01-340-7883, manufactured in accordance with controlling specification 12255 6092PS079. The solicitation identifies the item as commercial off-the-shelf and requires full and open competition; it is not a small-business set-aside. The requirement includes government first article testing and production lot testing. The contractor must provide 100 first-article units within 90 calendar days after contract date for testing, with the first-article units separate from the production quantity. Production lot samples will be selected and tested after first-article approval. The quoted price must account for applicable testing costs, with the government testing cost identified as $45,000.
