Description
The City of Abbotsford is contemplating a direct award to Claro Environmental Technologies for the supply and commissioning of a septage receiving station and sludge screening and controls. The existing receiving station has separate units that create freezing problems, require manual rock removal from raw sewage, and present health and safety and labor concerns. Claro's proposed single unit combines an automated rock trap and fine screening, avoiding the need to expand the treatment plant building. The expected purchase value is not more than CAD 525,000, exclusive of applicable taxes. Respondents wishing to object to the contemplated direct award must submit an objection explaining their ability to provide goods and services of the same or better quality and price within the required period, including their availability and resources.
